Welcome to Dirty Chains CTP ("the App"), a product of Lazy Dog Apps LLC. By creating an account or using the App, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you don't agree, don't use the App.

1 — What the App does

Dirty Chains CTP is a scorekeeper for closest-to-pin (CTP) side games in disc golf. You can create and join scoring rooms via room codes or QR codes, track CTP results, pushes, and locked pots hole-by-hole, view running scores and round history, and (with Premium) connect with friends and compare stats on leaderboards.

2 — Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use the App. If you're under 18, you should have a parent or guardian's consent. By using the App, you represent that you meet these requirements.

3 — Your account

• You may sign in with Apple, Google, email/password, or continue as a guest.
• You're responsible for the security of your account credentials.
• You may delete your account anytime from the Profile screen, or via our deletion page. This permanently removes your data.
• We may suspend or delete accounts that violate these terms.

4 — Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the App for any illegal purpose, including illegal gambling where prohibited in your jurisdiction
• Impersonate another person or use a false identity
• Attempt to access another user's account or data
• Interfere with or disrupt the App's services or infrastructure
• Use automated tools, bots, or scrapers against the App
• Upload offensive, harmful, or illegal content as a profile photo or display name

5 — Free trial, free tier, and Premium subscriptions

Free trial (14 days): all new users get full Premium access. No payment is required to start. After it ends you move to the free tier unless you subscribe.

Free version (after trial), completely ad-free: create and join rooms, full scoring (winner, push, skip, locked pots), running scores and summary, share results as text, a basic profile, and limited round history (last 3–5 rounds).

Premium unlocks leaderboards, friends and head-to-head stats, all 50 achievements, full history and course stats, share-as-image recap cards, spectator mode, theme selection, and PDGA number. It's available as Monthly ($2.99/month) or Annual ($24.99/year — save 30%).

Subscription terms:

• Subscriptions auto-renew and are processed entirely by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play). We don't handle or store payment information.
• Payment is charged to your Apple ID or Google account at confirmation of purchase.
• Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• Manage or cancel anytime in your device settings (Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions on iOS, or Google Play → Subscriptions on Android).
• Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period — you keep Premium until then.
• Refund requests go to Apple or Google per their policies.
• Subscriptions are tied to your Apple ID or Google account and can be restored on other devices signed into the same account.

6 — User content

You retain ownership of content you upload (profile photos, display names). By uploading, you grant us a limited license to store and display it within the App. We may remove content that violates these terms.

7 — Intellectual property

The App, its design, code, and branding are owned by Lazy Dog Apps LLC. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse-engineer any part of the App without written permission.

8 — AI-assisted development

Portions of this application, including code, documentation, and these legal documents, were developed with the assistance of AI tools (Claude by Anthropic). All AI-generated output has been reviewed and approved by the developer, who assumes full responsibility for the App's functionality and content.

9 — Disclaimers

• The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied.
• We don't guarantee the App will be available, error-free, or uninterrupted.
• Score calculations are provided for convenience; you're responsible for verifying results.
• We're not responsible for disputes, losses, or outcomes arising from wagers between players.

10 — Limitation of liability & indemnification

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Lazy Dog Apps LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the App. Our total liability for any claim related to the App shall not exceed $50 USD.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Lazy Dog Apps LLC from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the App, your violation of these terms, or any dispute between you and other players.

11 — Third parties, termination, changes & governing law

The App uses Firebase services provided by Google; your use is also governed by Google's Terms of Service. We may suspend or terminate access at any time, with or without cause or notice; you may stop using the App and delete your account anytime. We may update these terms from time to time, with changes posted here and a revised "last updated" date — continued use constitutes acceptance. These terms are governed by the laws of the United States, and disputes shall be resolved in the courts of the developer's jurisdiction.
